Chiffon Dior is a writer, editor, businesswoman, drag queen, and mother, in roughly that order and occasionally all at once. She has been called “a self-made woman,” which is true in the most literal, three-hours-in-front-of-a-mirror sense. And that’s if her eyeliner is playing nice.In 2014, she launched WERRRK.com with one goal: to cover drag with the seriousness it deserves and the glitter it requires. Along the way it became one of the most respected sites covering the art of drag in the world. Yes, the world.She has also been nominated ten times for Best Nightlife Writer at the NYC Glam Awards, a streak approaching Susan Lucci-esque proportions. She was as shocked as anyone when the US Library of Congress selected her labor of love for archival preservation.In her exclusive feature, The WERRRK.com Interview, Chiffon has sat down with over 100 people, from a who’s who of RuPaul’s Drag Race royalty to the legends of New York City nightlife. And the guest list doesn’t stop at the lace of the wig: Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita, comedienne, musician, and YouTube pioneer Deven Green, Transparent and Pose writer Our Lady J, spooky and pink icon Pinup Palmer, professional wrestling trailblazer Allison Danger and more have all pulled up a chair.She also helps other queens with the talky part of winning crowns. They’ve been reminded that Chiffon “isn’t a regular mom, she’s a cool mom” more times than they can count.Chiffon’s hobbies include laughing at the concept of actually having free time for hobbies, retail therapy, and ensuring that the last slice of pizza is hers.
